Ethics in Education

If a child abuse is alleged to have occurred at Christian Heritage, it is every staff member's responsibility to report it to the Administration, Preschool Director, or Extended Care Director. Additional procedures are outlined in the Christian Heritage Policy manual and staff manuals.  An administrator will file the report with the ABUSE Hotline.

Employees of Christian Heritage participate in Ethics in Education training annually.  This training includes requirements of the State of Florida in regards to child abuse and neglect.  
 
Every employee of Christian Heritage Academy is required to report any misconduct by school staff and school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.
 
Report allegations of misconduct by school staff or volunteers to the Head of School, Daniel Pride at (904) 733-4722 or dpride@chajax.org.

Reporting Educator Misconduct

All employees and agents of a public school district, charter school or private school have an obligation and legal responsibility to report misconduct by instructional personnel and school administrators which affects the health, safety or welfare of a student.

  • Obscene language
  • Drug and alcohol use
  • Disparaging comments
  • Prejudice or bigotry
  • Sexual innuendo
  • Cheating or testing violation
  • Physical aggression
  • Accept or offer favors

Failure to report misconduct may result in penalties up to termination of employment and revocation of an educator’s certificate.
